I Qualified as a medical doctor obtaining my MB.ChB at the University of Stellenbosch in 1986.

My admiration for the medical field started at a very young age. I started working in the Provincial hospitals in Port ELizabeth and Uitenhage.  The diversity and complexity of the profession in the first few years as a junior doctor inspired me to become a General Practitioner in the rural Eastern Cape.  I worked in the private and public sector since 1989.

This Symbiotic relationship encouraged the expansion  of my skill-set and encouraged me to study further.  I completed a Diploma in Occupational Health (UV)in 1999 and Diploma in Family Medicine(UP) in 2004.

After meeting my husband we got married and moved to Kareedouw Tsitsikamma to cease the opportunity to live in the rural Eastern Cape. Our Children were privileged to be born and raised in the beautiful Tsitsikamma Kareedouw area.

 As an active member of this beautiful community I partake in many activities as possible and spent as much as possible time in nature riding my bike or at the shooting range.
